    Amen……. I own a 306 myself, but anything over say 220-260bhp is overkill in a front wheel drive car. If you really want power and the ability to plant it, ya need to 4wd it, then 400+ bhp is conceivable. Altho the money would be better spent on a proper performance rwd motor!

  5. kylekaye says:

    Nice! I was going to Turbo my ’6 untill the Camble tslipped but i will get a High Bosst charged one abit later on i hope. Was taken out by someone i know with one running around 410bhp and it was just so normal untill he tapped the pedal and you were gone! Speedo toped out in seconds

  6. binka1000 says:

    You can never have enough power lol, mainly for drag racing really, will be aiming for around 400bhp soon

  7. TDUguy says:

    @binka1000

    dunno why you would WANT that much in a FWD car.

  8. binka1000 says:

    How much power please mate, hopefully mine should be around 340bhp on fri after mapping cant wait

  9. jarrus464 says:

    how much power and torque?, is torque steer a problem? and are the gear ratios alright?

  10. McJakeyBabey says:

    Dbaj o swojego Pug’a :) )
    Serdecznie pozdrawiam :D

  15. AlbertM21212121 says:

  23. twaiter says:

    Your crazy for having your air filter thier, your certainley not doing any favors to your engine, you will constantly be intaking HOT air!, you might think its running great but move the filter nearer the front and down abit and you will see a great differance, plus run less temp.

  26. sebaf7 says:

    One love. Only peugeot. Peugeot 4 ever.

  27. alexromeroster says:

    @reilly972008 because the toyota engine is a 4age engine which is made for racing silvertop blacktop etc, and the 1800 dohc lancer has a turbo no shit its faster, and your golf may be 20valve but isnt a raceseries engine.

  28. CcCulkucuCcCbozkurt says:

    i have 206 gti i love it this car

  29. cocacolaholic says:

    @reilly972008 correct, like any car, a car can go as fast as your wallet

  30. reilly972008 says:

    @cocacolaholic oh thats gay! but im guessin an ECU remap or something could get serious power from it!?

  31. cocacolaholic says:

    @reilly972008 to make it more insurance friendly

  32. reilly972008 says:

    the golf has a 4cyl 20valve turbo 1800cc engine that only develops 150bhp?!?! that is very poor! a toyota 4cyl 20valve non turbo 1600 engine can develop around 165bhp! a gsr lancer has a 16valve turbo 1800cc engine that can develop 200+bhp! what the hell is going on with VW?! Why so little power from an engine of this spec?? Why?

  33. nomainreason says:

    @motocrossowy idiots cantz spells right

  34. Platinum306 says:

    @vauxhazzx My GTi-6 seems fine lol.

  35. vauxhazzx says:

    Owned a gti 6 and it was a good fun car but French cars a generally very poorly made..not built to last. German built is the way forward..

  36. luka1029 says:

    @motocrossowy you’ve never driven a gold in yo life lol

  37. alko053 says:

    my friend has an peugot gti 6 from 97.. its fast en seats are comfortable.. but too many small mechanic things that are problematic.. quality is not very great..

    i dont know.. i think i still would go for golf gti.. 1.8 with turbo is a nice and strong engine build to last.. i am not saying that peug and fiat are bad in this case

  38. rock3tcat says:

    @motocrossowy

    Heil Hitler!

    VW POWER!!!!!

  39. rock3tcat says:

    @motocrossowy

    You must be a homosexual… I feel bad for you, NOT! :D

  40. silwoody says:

    Hey everyone, what is the 206 Gti 180 like? Am thinking of getting either a Renaultsport Clio 172/182, a 306 Gti-6 or a 206 Gti 180. What are Renault and Peugeots build quality like? Always had Jap and German cars and am worried about getting a French car as they always seem to get slated on their quality (particularly electrics and interiors). Don’t want to get one and have it blow up.

  41. jarrus464 says:

    @alko053 why should I?

  42. alko053 says:

    @jarrus464

    please shut up

  43. rastclart says:

    What he didn’t mention is the lack of steering lock on one side cos of that gearbox. I didn’t have a GTi6 but i do miss my pug. :(

  44. Jaymolina says:

    @motocrossowy there´s no reason that only idiots drives Golf, you are a fucking stupid and you don´t have the pleasure of drive a golf ;)

  45. Account091027 says:

    I thought the HGT with 5 cylinders had 155 hp, and it was the 4 cylinders that had 147.

  46. jarrus464 says:

    @thenext4 the 306 would still kick it’s ass, if not in a straight line then definitely round the corners, on a twisty b road i’m sorry but there’s not contest,
    Don’t forget that pug has used all the rally pedigree to make the 306
    vw made the golf for people who don’t like driving…..

  47. jarrus464 says:

    @Soussmeboules

    I agreed, however the 306 gti-6 (in standard form) was praised for it’s ride which makes it soooo good on uneven pot holed b roads, one tore past me on the buttertubs pass not too long ago and it just looked so composed, it’s that thing that makes it special as the 306 was rallyed in the s2000 class for a while and won most of the time and you can tell all that rally expertise has translated into car that can give modern hot hatches a run for there money on a back road

  48. jarrus464 says:

    @MartyMartin87
    So you would rather by the mk4 gti beacuse it’s slow, it has no character, the steering has no feel and has about as much visual tension as a bar of soap….
    o and lets not forget that the mk1 from the 70′s is faster (everywhere), looks better cost half the price and will have been looked after…. tough call that….

  49. jarrus464 says:

  50. jarrus464 says:

    @767nutter there’s no way that the fiat could manage that speed,

    plus like I’ve said in another post the 0-60 that pug posted is totally wrong, (check the post I made to “DavidBailey25″)
    if the gti6 took longer than the fiat to get to 60 then how come it won the race?
