i have a 206 gti 2000 i have a problem with the tracking keep going out i have changed the bottom arms, track rod ends and drop links i took it for tracking the other day the man tracked it i drove off the ramps then put it back on and he said the tracking is out there is play some where please help

Take it to an MOT qualified mechanic. he can have a good prod around with it.

Toe in and out is controlled only by the track rod ends, the track rods and the steering rack.
so i’d check out the steering rack.

the only other thing it could be is the wheel bearing, but i’m quite sure you’d hear that when driving (usually clunk in corners – if it’s come loose, and whining on straights)

Keep having problems starting my peugeot 106 gti – it’s like it all year round (ie not the cold weather), battery is fine according to numerous mechanics, and it’s just had a full service, all new plugs, etc. Anyone any ideas what is could be??
Year is 98 or 99 (S reg)
CC is 1600

after finally getting it running is now possibly blown the headgasket a full head rebuild is in order

Question by k: Peugeot 206 GTI 1.6 Diesel Sept 04…. Does anyone own one – have you had any performance problems with it?
I have had a catlogue of problems with it – recently tho when you get it well warmed up and give it some stick – it can miss a beat or three, just when you put your foot to the floor, It has been into the dealer for this before but is happening again and the warranty is nearly up – has anyone been able to solve the problem once and for all – and what exactly was the solution ??

Question by : 206 gti heaters problems?
i have a 206 gti 2000 model the problem i have is the heaters don’t work.the the heater panel is working i can change the temp and fan speed but it doesn’t blow. i took the blower motor out and connected it to the battery and it works please help my as the colder days are around the corner

It’s done with timing pins: They locate in the crankshaft at the 10 o’clock position, and in the camshafts at the 8 & 4 o’clock positions respectively.
