What should i do? Go through insurance or not?

Question by Rachel: What should i do? Go through insurance or not?
On Tuesday night i was driving home, i entered the bus lane (which vechicles are allowd in past 7pm). I stopped at the hatchings and looked right, nothing was coming. Then continued in the bus lane a car then came from the right lane and scrapped past my front drivers wing resulting in a dented and scathed front drivers wings. We exchanged details as we both didnt agreed that it was our fault even though she hit into me it is blantely her fault.I rang insurence the next day and told them what happened. Im not at fault as far as im concerned i do not want to pay a penny. Ive been driving 4 with no claims, I drive a peugoet 106 gti, im 22 my insurence is 475 fully comp, excess is £400. I want to go through her insurence so they pay for the damage caused but does this mean my premium will go up? do i have to pay anything if im not at fault? If i dont claim and she has will i have to pay her cause i have not claimed through my insurence?

Im so confused please help.

insurance companies neverr want to pay!!! I would put the claim in as by your description you are not in the wrong. if for some reason your insurance refuses to pay you can alwayd retract and pay for it yourself. please note in the mean time the lady with no left eye is banging down her insurance to blame you and you are not responding!! Assume you do not have no claims protection which you will have after this.

Stock Peugeot 306 GTi-6 through 2nd and 3rd gear.

My girlfriends Christmas present getting “tested” out… obviously just to make sure it’s alright for her. Totally stock, no mods at all. Even the stock radio!

Peugeot 206 GTi – thrust bearings worn through clutch plate?

Question by : Peugeot 206 GTi – thrust bearings worn through clutch plate?
Just wondering if anyone can help at all.my gf has a Peugeot 206 GTi it’s a 2003 model.

We recently returned from Cornwall and the car started making some very loud squeals each time the clutch was pressed. Luckily we made the 3 hour drive home!

Once home a friend of mine came to look at the car and suggested the thrust bearings have worn through the clutch plate.

What I’d like to know is if someone can explain to me how serious this is and how much it’s likely to cost to repair?

Thank you

Well you have to replace it, My advice is replace it all as a package.
You have to remove the clutch pressure plate and throw-out bearing.

I don’t know what that is…but it doesn’t matter. What does matter is, is it a manual or automatic transmission? Oh and is it FWD or RWD or AWD?
If automatic, the torque converter is faulty.

Edit:
Like I said I don’t know what kind of vehicle that is so I’m not going to guess. Troubleshooting vehicles is all the same no matter what kind of vehicle.
Since the vehicle is FWD it does not have a driveshaft so it can’t have a driveshaft dampener, that’s what 30 yrs has taught me.

I’m sorry, I could not find a 2004 206gti 2.0i, I did find a 2004 206gti HDI so we have some miscommunication here.
It could be any of the following:
Lug nuts on front wheel are loose and/or missing
Harmonic balancer pulley is faulty
Idler pulley is faulty
Engine is experiencing a misfire – spark plugs and/or wires, MAP or TPS sensor, coolant temperature sensor, faulty fuel injectors or you don’t have compression in one of the cylinders.
